Wear self-contained breathing apparatus and protective clothing to prevent contact with skin and eyes. In case of spill during fire, material forms slippery layers with water. Cold fire exposed containers with water.

SECTION 6 :

ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES

Evacuate area. Forms slippery layers when spilled on floor, slipperiness increases with water. Clear away the material after sanding and soaking with an absorbent material like kieselguhr, vermiculite, sand or saw dust. Wear rubber gloves. Avoid mixing drain and waterways. If the material is already dry, avoid raising dust, do not breathe the dust and wear a dust mask. Sweep up the place and put the dust away in a container. CLEAN THE AREA WITH WATER AND DETERGENT. Ventilate the area. Discard absorbed material in accordance with the regulations.

SECTION 7 :

HANDLING, USING & STORAGE

No special measures necessary. REFER TO SECTION 8. Use personal safety equipment. Keep container closed. In case of bulk storage, good ventilation is required. Protect from heat and frost (5-35˚C). In case of cold weather it coagulates and a layer occurs. Heat to room temperature and mix well. Keep available eye-wash. Maximum Storage time: 12 months.

SECTION 8 :

EXPOSURE CONTROL AND PERSONAL PROTECTION

Apply general industrial hygiene rules. Producing area must be far from catering area and efficient ventilation is required. In case of no air-condition, wear gas mask with organic vapor refill. Avoid contact with eyes and skin. Use protective clothes, safety glasses and rubber gloves. Wash hands and face with water and soap after handling/using. Avoid prolonged and repeated exposure. Refer to Section 11.

SECTION 9 :

PHYSICAL AND CHEMICAL PROPERTIES

Viscous liquid. Silvery white color. Aqueous dispersion solution. Light-scent of ammonia. Water-soluble. pH value of aqueous solution = 7-8. Density: Approximately 1.03 g/cc. Boiling Point: Approximately 100°C.

SECTION 10 :

CHEMICAL STABILITY AND REACTIVITY

STABLE UNDER NORMAL CONDITIONS. No hazardous reaction or thermal decomposition if used as prescribed. No hazardous polymerization product. Incompatible with oxidizing, inorganic acids and materials reacting with water.

SECTION 11 :

TOXICOLOGICAL INFORMATION

ON THE BASIS OF PRODUCTS COMPOSITION NO ACUTE EFFECTS ARE EXPECTED. The toxicological data given below are determined by analogy:

ACUTE EFFECTS: toxicity: no data.

Irritant effect on skin : Non-irritant

Irritant effect on eyes : Mild irritation effect (rabbit eye )

Information of acute effect component:

Ethylene glycol approximately % 1 : LD 50 (oral/mouse) : > 5.000 mg/Kg ,

Skin and mucosa / rabbit (Draize Test) : non-irritant

Eyes/rabbit : non-irritant

CHRONIC EFFECTS: No chronic effects if used in correct manner.

Prolonged and repeated exposures, especially if the material is allowed to dry out may cause eye and skin irritation.

MUTAGENIC EFFECT: not observed.

CARCINOGENICITY: not observed.

Only selected Registry of Toxic Effects of Chemical Substances (RTECS) data is presented here. See actual entry in RTECS for complete information.

SECTION 12 :

ECOLOGICAL INFORMATION

EFFECT ON SPECIES AND ENVIRONMENT

Not determined harmful effect on environment. Product does not contain organic bounded Halogen AOX and copper.

Below ecological data are determined by analogy:

Biodegradability: no data.

Fish Toxicity : Polymer + Binder LC50 (96hours) Leuiscus Idus > 100 mg/L

Bacteriological Toxicity: no data.

Effect to Microorganisms and active sludge : DEV-L2 > 1.000 mg/L (No effect to active sludge in refinement)

Chemical Oxygen demand (COD) = Polymer and Binder : KOİ 860 mg/g

DO NOT ALLOW ENTERING WATERWAYS, WASTEWATER AND SOIL.

May be eliminated from water by chemical flocculation or adsorption by active sludge.

SECTION 13 :

DISPOSAL CONSIDERATIONS
